The "NPrinting cannot find a supported template editor" error message when creating a new template or editing an old one is always due to an incorrect installation that has created invalid keys in the registry.
The article "NPrinting cannot find a supported template editor error" helps to correct the keys that are saved in the registry key in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder.
In some cases (not usual) this is not sufficient.
It may happen that Office keys have been created in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder. They are always incorrect and must be removed.
Open the regedit.
Open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder and search for all the possible Office extensions: .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsv, .doc, .docx, etc.
All the folders named as an Office extension must be deleted.
Be sure you have created a backup copy of the registry key before doing any change.
