QlikView Publisher Task finished with Warning sign and warning messages in the task log

In a cluster environment, reload and distribution has been finished, but task status showing a warning message, and there is a warning message in the task log. 

This could be a random issue, after you manually reload the warning message will be gone and status will show completed. 



The warnings in task log:

Warning Failed to connect to QlikView Server. This error is most likely because the server is not contactable or that the account the QlikView Distribution Service is running as is lacking permissions. Address=<Server Name>:4747, Exception=System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it <Server IP address>:4747

Warning FileSystem Plugin was not found - No operations will be executed! Path=qvp://<Server Name> Warning Could not connect to QVS. QVS=qvp://<Server Name>

Warning QVS Distribution failed to distribute to one or more nodes in the QVS Cluster, but one node completed with success. NodeCount=1 Warning Distribution reported warnings for resource "Reload and Distribute of CtrlQ-TestData.qvw_QVS_1" (QlikViewServerDistributionResource). Warnings=6

Warning Distribution to resources reported warnings. Warnings: 7

The conclusion result in task log is:

Information Notifying all triggers of new state:FinishedWithWarnings Information Notifying all triggers of new state:FinishedWithWarnings - completed Information Saving Task Result  

Enviroment

• QlikView 

Cause:

This is not an error, but just a warning message recorded there are services not able to communicate.

For example, in a 3 nodes cluster, reproduce this when QlikView Server & QlikView WebServer/IIS has been turned off in server 2 but the QlikView Distribution Service in server 2 is still working, such as below:



From the task setting, the task will distribute to all the cluster node:



So the QDS will still keep communicating to each other. 

And the chances of getting warning message also get effect from this task server performance -> Document Control setting.

-    When you set the document available “always on all nodes” , there will be high chances to get the warning message. 

-    But if you choose customize and set the node “Never”, you will get less chance to have the warning message.  

Resolution:

• Check if any node has service down issue, but QVS still alive 
• Review resource usage on the QlikView Server node. If the QlikView Server is unable to respond in time due to CPU or memory starvation, connection attempts will time out
• If one of node is turned off and no longer required the cluster URL should be removed from cluster group
