The installation package will fail to execute if a specific type of QlikView product is still installed on the machine. It does not only refer to Qlik Sense products.
The following products will be checked prior to the installation package being able to execute.
If present, they must be uninstalled before installing Qlik Sense
Server installations:
QlikView 8 (all versions) 64bit and 32bit
+ Publisher 8 (all versions) 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 9 (all versions) 64bit and 32bit
+ Publisher 9 (all versions) 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 10 IR to SR5 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 11 IR, SR1, SR2 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 11.20 SR1, SR2 64bit and 32bit
Client installations including Internet Explorer Plugin:
QlikView 8 (all versions) 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 9 (all versions) 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 10 IR to SR5 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 11 IR, SR1, SR2 64bit and 32bit
QlikView 11.20 SR1, SR2 64bit and 32bit
OSX and Plugin:
QlikView Plugin 11 (all versions) 32bit
QlikView Plugin 11.20 SR1, SR2 32bit
OCX 10 IR to SR 5
Note: Running QlikView Server and Qlik Sense (server) on the same machine is not officially supported.
For more details please refer to the installation log, located in the %temp% folder. It will highlight the registry keys that may need to be deleted manually, should an uninstall from the Control Panel not have been sufficient.
