System.IO.IOException: The specified network name is no longer available

Description:

"System.IO.IOException: The specified network name is no longer available" is a general error message for communication failure.

Environment: QlikView 

Resolution:

Possible causes are following.

1. The location does not exist

   Please make sure the path configured in QMC is correct.

   If NAS is used, path is needed to be UNC path. Please make sure $ sign is not be used in the path

2. The locations is not reachable because of network communication issues

   Please contact your network admin for further analysis

3. Ports is blocked by Security Software

   Please make sure necessary ports for QlikView is not blocked by Security Softwares

4. DNS issue

   Please contact your network admin for further analysis
