ODBC Read Failed With Error Message "QVX_UNEXPECTED_END_OF_DATA: SQL##f - SqlState: 08S01"

Application reload fails, with following symptoms in the document log:

• QVX_UNEXPECTED_END_OF_DATA: SQL##f - SqlState: 08S01
• Error: ODBC read failed
• General Script Error

Environment:

QlikView 

This error message indicates that the timeout is coming from the database. Any of the following can solve the issue:

• Change the connection timeout in the QlikView ODBC Connection
• Switch from ODBC to OLEDB connection
• Make sure the local Oracle client is updated to the same version as the database
