In QlikView it is possible to display a calculated field in a ListBox, here quoted "expression ListBox". An expression ListBox does not come out of script execution but is defined from an expression
using existing fields. It may happen that you observe strange behavior when doing different selections from an expression ListBox i.e. a new selection may cause a deselection of an associated value.
Environment:
QlikView
As example, check attached *.qvw sample. From the list box on the right side (are defined using an expression):
- Select a value in the first expression ListBox
- Then select an associated value in the second list box.
Observation:
1. Note that the first selection is deselected which is strange.
2. Once the second is selected, you can't select the previous value in the first.
3. In the "current selection” object the first selection is still displayed.
4. If you deselect the second, the first is displayed selected
Resolution:
This is a WAD and is based on the functionality of “Selected but excluded”
This occurs by selecting one value and then selecting another value that invalidates the previous selection despite being associated.
