The QlikView internal structure of storing hierarchy tables has changed in 11.20 SR4. QlikView 11.20 SR3 and earlier
In QlikView 11.20 SR3 or prior all hierarchy tables are created as a distinct table. This means that one parent only has unique child nodes.
For example if a table like the one below is loaded, it will only contain one instance of node 3.
In the application a tree view list box would show that all nodes only occur once.QlikView 11.20 SR4 and later
In QlikView 11.20 SR4 or later all hierarchy tables will contain all nodes that are loaded. This means that one parent node can have multiple identical child nodes.
For example if a table like the one above is loaded, it will contain two instances of node 3.
In the application a tree view list box would show that there are two occurrences of node 3.
Consequently child nodes to node 3 will be linked cloned to each occurrence of node 3, which means that there is also two occurrence of node 4.
