Under C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService you will find the folder EDXResults.
There is no cleanup function for this folder, and it can with time create problems with task not working and errors occuring in the tasklog.
Symptom is that task will fail with an exception in the tasklog pointing to not being able to write to folder EDXResults.
When using batch files for the purpose to delete files or folder, you need to be aware that it CAN`T be undone once deleted.
WorkAround is to create a cleanup batch and have it delete files, for example once a week.
- Make a new text file and rename it to _____.bat (fill in the blank with a name of your choice).
- Right click on the .bat file. Select Edit.
- Add the following in the bat file:
del " C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\EDXResults\*.xml"
- Save the file
- Schedule the bat file to run using Windows Scheduler or using an external task in QlikView Publisher
