- CPU architecture (32 or 64)
- QlikView version
- CPU and RAM setup
- License Key
The technical information can be provided to QlikView Support through the client-side Document Support Information (DSI) and server-side System Information. Below are guidelines on how to find the details in QlikView Server, Plugin or Desktop.
NOTE:
Technical information must be provided for all server and client(s) involved in the support case scenario.
QlikView Server - System Information (ABOUT.TXT)
- Open QlikView Management Console
- Go to System > About
- Click More details to expand all info
- Mark all info below the Less details link
- Press Ctrl + C OR Right click on the selection and select Copy
- Open a text editor, for example Notepad
- Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
- Save the text file with the name "ABOUT.TXT" and attach to the support case
QlikView Desktop Client - Document Support Information (DSI)
- Open QlikView desktop client
- Open the document related to the support case
- Go to Help > Document Support Info... OR press Ctrl + Shift + Q
- Click Copy to Clipboard
- Open a text editor, for example Notepad
- Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
- Save the text file with the name "DSI.TXT" and attach to the support case
QlikView Internet Explorer plugin - Document Support Information (DSI)
- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to QlikView access point
- Open the document related to the support case in Internet Explorer Plugin (IE Plugin)
- Go to Menu > Document Support Info... OR press Ctrl + Shift + Q
- Click Copy to Clipboard
- Open a text editor, for example Notepad
- Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
- Save the text file with the name "DSI.TXT" and attach to the support case
QlikView Full Internet Version (AJAX client) - Document Support Information (DSI)
- Open internet browser
- Go to QlikView access point
- Open the document related to the support case in Full Internet Version (AJAX client)
- Go to More > Document Support Info...
- Click on the text in the Document Support Information popup
- Press Ctrl + A to highlight all text in the popup
- Press Ctrl + C to copy the highlighted text
- Open a text editor, for example Notepad
- Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
- Save the text file with the name "DSI.TXT" and attach to the support case
